Advice on opening of in-ground pool in bad shape?

The pool has been not in use for 3 years, we try to open it for this season. It鈥檚 concrete with what looks like a marble crumb. Here are pictures: http://picasaweb.google.com/webtsarina/P鈥?/a> .

* How do we clean it from the dirt on the walls (acid, chlorine, etc)?

* There are some hairline cracks (see on pictures) do I need to repair them?

* If I do need to repair them how do I go about it?Advice on opening of in-ground pool in bad shape?
You really should take the pictures as well as a pool sample to your local pool supply place and they will be best to tell you in the area you live how to take care of these problems.

sorry I'm not any help:( Good LuckAdvice on opening of in-ground pool in bad shape?
It looks like the pool needs to be drained and cleaned (several methods to do this we usually use a power washer). After cleaning it if there are any cracks they need to be repaired with epoxy putty (you can get this at a pool store) and then repainted with epoxy pool paint. This is a long and tedious process but makes it much easier to care for your pool. We repaint our about every 5 years.
For a concrete pool you will definitely need some professional help. Go to your local pool place, take your picts with you. They can probably give you some good advice. I have found that you won't save any money on pools buy trying to do it yourself
