My lurcher puppy who is 11 weeks gets over excited very easily. He nips and jumps very bad, any advice?!?

I know pups nip and jump alot but this is beginning to get aggressive! He is excited to play and its like he cant control himself and ends up hurting me or my son. We want to be able to play with him and enjoy him but at the moment its impossible. At other times hes a normal pup but this is a big problem for us! please any advice would be gladly received! My lurcher puppy who is 11 weeks gets over excited very easily. The yelping method [a cry like a pup] every time the pup made contact with the skin, was tried but quickly abandoned when I trained my first Dobermann

A case in point being my current b*tch Tori who was a would be vampire when she first arrived home at eight weeks old. It's vital a naturally headstrong %26amp; dominant breed is able to respect their owner %26amp; look to them for leadership.

A firm *leave* correction every time she attempted to nip an ankle [her favoured part of the body] %26amp; then shunning her worked quickly.

Good luck with your pup.
