how important do you think it is for these advice givers to be trained (qualified) to give advice?
thanks! If you realize that someone was giving you some bad advice, what would you do?
you get what you pay for. nothing for nothing is worth nothing.
are you trained to sift the good from the bad?If you realize that someone was giving you some bad advice, what would you do?
I'd listen to what they are pointing out but not necessarily mean that I would follow it.Still the last decision would be my decision anyway.
Great advices I think would come to people who have most experiences in life that taught them to be more mature.
If advice has been asked for, then you listen, weigh it, and chose whether to follow it or not.
Advice is personal unless given out by professionally trained doctors.
If you know advice is bad, then just do not follow it. Say nothing but thank you for your view. No biggie...you have your own mind and you should make your own decisions.
I'd ignore the bad advice and get some better advice from people I know and trust (if I still felt I needed advice)
-stop asking them for advice/ ignore what they say
-it depends if you want advice (which is just someone's personal opinion) or accurate information. if you wanted advice about, say, overcoming an alcohol addiction, you could ask a doctor about a good program or the science behind it, and a recovering alcoholic about their experiences or recommendations. both are useful pieces of information.
I won't follow their advice.
