Anyone have advice for someone that's bad at science but wants an A in Chemistry?

I've always been bad at science, but I really want straight A's this year. Chemistry seems like it'll be hard and the teacher is one of those teachers that doesn't care about her students (a few of my friends took Chemistry last year), which is probably going to make it harder.

Anyone know how I can do well in Chemistry?Anyone have advice for someone that's bad at science but wants an A in Chemistry?
1. Work hard - read the text, take notes, memorize nomenclature, but particularly practice problems. Do chemistry problems till you are sick of doing them - it is in the repetition of problem solving that you learn the material.

2. If you don't understand something seek help immediately - don't wait - once you get behind its too late. Study with someone who is good, see the teacher, see a tutor - but get help then go back to 1.

If you are not prepared to do 1. nothing can help.
