My sons often ask me for advice but they never take a blind bit of notice of what I tell them. Two weeks ago I advised my younger son not to get married again too soon, this morning he rang up to say he got married last Monday, and only had two people there. It is his third attempt, we sent him a just married card and wished him luck.We haven't been introduced to his wife yet, but no hard feelings, he was always a bit of a mystery.
are you sure that the advice that you gave was the only reason your friend killed themself? or were there other issues to cause this?

She left her husband two weeks later. ( Not for me, I might add!)

First off not your fault. Your advice did not make them shot themselves so please don't keep saying that. People ask for advise when they already know the answer but look for others to confirm their initial thought. They quesiton themselves and that's why they ask. You didn't give bad advice unless you told your friend to pull the trigger. That would be considered bad advice. However-since I can only assume that is not the advice you gave, don't blame yourself. I give bad advice all the time, take this as a lesson learned to watch what you say to who you say it to. Unless you know this person or friend for a long time, be hesitant because you don't know what state of mind they are in at the time the advice is asked.
aww what was your advice? no i havnt ever given anyone advice thats led them to commit suicide, the worst i can think of is 2day i was walking home and a girl walked past me and asked me if i knew the name of the street and i told her the wrong street, the street i told her was only next to the 1 we was on but she was forign and probably didnt know where she was and then i realised but she was long gone and then i felt bad but i doubt she went away and killed herself.. at least i hope she didnt :s lol
