My american staffordshire terrier is sheding realy bad any advice shes about 2-3 years old?

I have a Staffie as well. She had a bout of shedding at one point and I changed her food to one that has a minimum of grains in it.The first 3 ingredients you read on the package should not list any grains.

I also brush her on a daily basis. This keeps her coat clean and shiny and it removes any debris on her skin.

Hope your girl will be fine soon.

Considering the stress factor...has she been drooling excessively lately? This is a very common thing with Staffies under stress. My american staffordshire terrier is sheding realy bad any advice shes about 2-3 years old?
I have a Jack Russell that sheds quite a bit also. First I would tell you to make sure that she is up to date on her current exam, sometimes shedding can be a sign of stress or problems...so remember to alsways speak to you vet about this. I give my pet brewers yeast tablets, they help control the shedding and can be purchased at most local pet supply stores. I brush my pup daily to help control the extra hair and try to maintian a normal bathing schedual as well.My american staffordshire terrier is sheding realy bad any advice shes about 2-3 years old?
Stress can certainly cause shedding. My Rottie leaves a carpet at the vets everytime we go.
You can take her in and have her shaved is one thing but the best thing to do is keep a strict schedule with your groomer. They have a item called a force dryer it blows all the loose hair out and makes the coat look and feel really healthy!
I own a Cairn Terrier and would say that you should a) trim the hair using some cheap store-bought shaver, and b) use a gentle shampoo like 'Suave for Kids' when bathing the dog. Our dog had a lot of skin/hair irritation problems and these cleared up right away once we switched to the cheap and easily available Suave for Kids shampoo (yep, the kind for little kids).
Have a vet check her to make sure that she's getting enough nutrients. You may need to change her food.

Also, has her routine changed much lately? Stress can also cause excessive shedding
you can git a sheding comb at wallmart in the pet ile or at a local pet suply store. comb it about every other day until sheding stops, but you will have to do it each year.
dont shave her. take her to the vet to make sure nothing is wrong, and if they say she's okay, take her to a professional groomer. I have 2 pit bulls that get baths once a month and it does wonders for their shedding
