Had tooth out last week, its gone septic, nearly finished antibiotics, but its still bad. Any advice?

It feels that bad my jaw feels like something is eating it alive. I cant feel my jaw at all. The wound is not healing nearly a week later. Any advice how I can help it?Had tooth out last week, its gone septic, nearly finished antibiotics, but its still bad. Any advice?
I'd go back to the dentist, when I had my wisdom teeth out I had a severe infection as I had a hole right down to the jaw bone where they had cut it out (puss the lot) I also went to the doctors and they prescribed me codeine, was poorly for 2 weeks but once doing this it cleared up pretty quickly, Sorry you feel yuk it's not nice I know XHad tooth out last week, its gone septic, nearly finished antibiotics, but its still bad. You need to go to the dr. let him look at it and maybe prescribe a different antibiotic.





Not all antibiotics are the same, nor is everyone's resistance. My son's ear infection was so bad he had to take them for a month to completely clear up the infection.





You could have possibly even got staph or a more serious infection in it. Don't wait. Do it as soon as possible. Some infections can be life threatening if not cleared up completely.

Take an anti-inflammatory drug and you probably need to increase the dose of your antibiotic or change it to a different one.
