For a motor to run it needs: fuel, spark, oxygen, and compression. Sounds to me like either your fuel filter needs replaced (most likely) or clogged injectors. (possible) Or, (hopefully not) a bad fuel pump. I would start there. It's an '02... seven years old... those things should be checked routinely anyway.... If that's not the fix, I'd move on to SPARK. Ignition coil might be bad, Spark plugs should be replaced by now if you haven't done it by now. Also, the plug wires should be replaced.


So, take a saturday.... go to your local auto parts store, get a fuel filter, spark plugs and plug wires also, grab some injector cleaner (get the good stuff... don't be cheap) Hopefully, this will cure your problem. Also, your fuel mileage should increase.... a added bonus.
